Vayudoot Aviations
I designed and built an aviation training academy's digital platform: the public website, an online examination system that grades automatically and issues certificates, and a student management system, all in one secure, role-based application.
The constraint
Marketing, enrollment and exams were run through separate, largely manual processes.
Replace scattered manual processes with one secure system. Certificates meant exam results had to be exactly right, every time.
The architecture
- A modular Laravel monolith: one deployable application with clear internal modules for the website, exams and student records.
- Role-based access control separating students, instructors and administrators.
- Redis for sessions and for caching the heavier queries in the student portal, keeping exams stable under load.
- Vue.js for the interactive parts: the exam interface and the admin tools.

Trade-offs
- A modular monolith instead of microservices: simpler to deploy and operate for a small organization, with no network hops inside the exam flow.
- Automated grading needed careful validation rules, because a wrong certificate is worse than a slow one.
Results
- Website, exam system and student management unified in one platform.
- Exams graded automatically, with certificates generated from the results.
- Enrollment streamlined, and access separated by role.
What I'd do again
- For a small organization, a well-structured monolith beats a distributed system on cost and reliability.
- Where results become certificates, data integrity is the feature.
