The rules your product lives under
UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018
Lawful basis, records of processing and processor contracts. The engineering: data minimisation, access control, retention, and subject-access requests that can be answered in days rather than weeks.
Data (Use and Access) Act 2025
It became law on 19 June 2025 and amends UK GDPR, the Data Protection Act and the cookie rules, with its changes phased in over the following year. The Information Commissioner's Office explains what applies today; I design so changes like these are cheap to absorb.

Is working with someone in India a restricted transfer?
It can be. The UK answer is the International Data Transfer Agreement or the UK addendum to the EU clauses. Often the simplest route is that I work inside your UK infrastructure and personal data never leaves it.
Will you sign a data processing agreement?
Where I handle personal data, the engagement includes one: yours, or a standard agreement we review together.
