Sound familiar?

  • The European Accessibility Act has applied since June 2025, and you need to know what to fix first in your product.
  • You're adding AI features and need to meet the AI Act's transparency duties: people must know when they are dealing with an AI system.
  • Your stack has to pass a GDPR review: data maps, processor terms, transfers and retention.
  • You need senior capacity for a few months without adding headcount.

Working across the time difference

Central European time is four and a half hours behind me in winter and three and a half in summer, so most of your working day overlaps with mine. A question asked in your morning is usually answered the same afternoon, and handover documentation is part of every engagement.

Contracts and payment

Invoices in euros, per milestone, paid through Wise or Payoneer. I can work under your contract, with a GDPR Article 28 data processing agreement and Standard Contractual Clauses for any transfer of personal data to India.

  • Intellectual property is assigned to you on payment.
  • An NDA before we discuss details, if you'd like one.
  • A written update every week, and a demo whenever there's something to see.
  • Working hours that overlap yours.

The rules your product lives under

Engineering guidance, not legal advice: what these rules mean for how software is built, with the official source for each. Your lawyer decides what applies to you.
  • GDPR

Article 28 governs processors like me; transfers of personal data outside the EU need a mechanism such as the Standard Contractual Clauses.

    Source: Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR)

  • European Accessibility Act

Applies since 28 June 2025 to many consumer-facing digital products and services. The technical benchmark is EN 301 549, which builds on WCAG.

Source: Directive (EU) 2019/882 (European Accessibility Act)

  • AI Act, Article 50

From 2 August 2026, people must be told when they interact with an AI system, and AI-generated content must be marked as such.

Source: Regulation (EU) 2024/1689 (AI Act)

Questions

Can you help us meet the Accessibility Act?

As engineering, yes: an audit against WCAG 2.2 and EN 301 549, a prioritized list of fixes, and the fixes themselves. Your counsel decides what applies to your business.

Is it a problem that you're outside the EU?

Transfers of personal data to India need Standard Contractual Clauses. Where possible I work inside your EU infrastructure, so personal data doesn't leave it at all.

What does the AI Act mean for a chatbot on our site?

From 2 August 2026, users must be told they are talking to an AI system unless that is obvious. It is a small interface change plus a rule to apply it everywhere, and I build both.

Working from the European Union? Start with a brief.

Tell me about the problem. I’ll reply with the smallest useful first step, when I could start and how our hours line up.
