A senior software engineer for Los Angeles media and consumer teams
Next.js front ends, content platforms editors like, performance work and AI features for Los Angeles media and consumer brands, planned around the Pacific clock.
01
Why Los Angeles teams bring me this work
Media and consumer products are judged on the day the audience arrives: a premiere, a product drop, a creator's post. I build the parts that decide that day: a Next.js front end that is fast and indexable, a content platform editors actually like, and the performance work that keeps both quick under load. Two case studies are that kind of work: TopGear India's CMS, moved from CodeIgniter to Laravel while the site stayed live, and Exhibit Social, an influencer-marketing platform built from zero.
What teams across the United States bring me
- An app built in a hurry, by an agency, a contractor or AI tools, is now slow, fragile or risky to change, and customers have noticed.
- You want AI features that hold up in production, with evaluations and cost control, not a demo that works once.

The hours we share with Los Angeles
Los Angeles is on Pacific time: your 09:00 is 22:30 in Mumbai in winter and 21:30 in summer. Releases are planned for the start of your day, when we're both online, never for your afternoon, which is my night; performance reports and CMS changes arrive in writing, with a recorded walkthrough, before your morning.
Each city's 09:00–18:00 working day on the clock in Mumbai (UTC+5:30), in January and in July, so daylight saving is accounted for.
| City | In January | In July |
|---|---|---|
| Los AngelesUTC−8 / UTC−7 | 22:30–07:30 (next day) | 21:30–06:30 (next day) |
Clocks Daylight saving time runs from 2:00 a.m. local time on the second Sunday in March to 2:00 a.m. on the first Sunday in November (15 U.S.C. 260a). India keeps one clock all year, so only your side moves.

Rules a Los Angeles team's software meets
Browser opt-out signals
California's Opt Me Out Act (AB 566), signed on 8 October 2025, requires browsers operating in California to offer a built-in opt-out preference signal that tells websites not to sell or share the user's personal information. CalPrivacy says it takes effect in January 2027.

Data brokers and DROP
Under California's Delete Act, from 1 August 2026 registered data brokers must access the state's Delete Request and Opt-out Platform (DROP) at least once every forty-five days and process consumers' deletion requests.

Lawsuits after a breach
Most CCPA violations are enforced only by the Attorney General or CalPrivacy, but consumers can sue when nonencrypted and nonredacted personal information is stolen in a breach caused by a failure to keep reasonable security, for actual damages or statutory damages.

Statutory damages
Since 1 January 2025, after the inflation adjustment, the CCPA's statutory damages for such a breach are not less than $107 and not greater than $799 per consumer.

Questions from Los Angeles teams
What hours do we share with Los Angeles?
Your 09:00 is 22:30 in Mumbai from early November to mid-March and 21:30 the rest of the year. That's a short overlap, so releases and reviews go at the start of your day, and everything else is written down: what shipped, how fast it is, and what's next.
Which California rules matter most for a consumer app?
The CCPA itself is on the United States page. Two newer pieces matter for consumer products: under AB 566, browsers must offer a built-in opt-out preference signal from January 2027, so your site should already honour one; and a breach of unencrypted personal information caused by weak security lets consumers sue, for statutory damages of $107 to $799 each. Confirm what applies with your counsel.
Do you have an office in Los Angeles?
No. I work remotely from Mumbai, with no office or staff in Los Angeles, and I don't offer in-person meetings there. We meet on video at the start of your day; launches are rehearsed in writing before they happen.
